OUR TEAM

Colorectal Cancer Resource & Action Network (CCRAN) was formed from a grassroots colorectal cancer information/support group back in mid 2006. It champions the health and wellbeing of Canadians touched by colorectal cancer and others at risk of developing this disease. We actively support colorectal cancer patients by providing evidence-based information, education and we advocate for patients every day to improve the quantity and quality of patients’ lives throughout Canada.
Members of our team have been touched by the disease which make us compassionate and better equipped to deal with every day challenges associated with the patient or caregiver journey.

CCRAN is a patient-focused organization, inspired by patients and caregivers who have navigated and continue to navigate the colorectal cancer journey with confidence and courage. CCRAN takes its lead from these patients and caregivers who can counsel CCRAN thoughtfully and judiciously on patient programs that are of great importance to other patients and caregivers across Canada.
To that end, CCRAN has commissioned the creation of the Patient Advisory Council.  This meaningful Patient Advisory Council is a one-of-a-kind patient group council that distinguishes CCRAN from all other organizations.  Council members advise CCRAN on programs and initiatives that can positively impact the colorectal cancer patient population in Canada.  Their past experiences serve as a source of inspiration and hope for the development of future patient and caregiver programs at CCRAN.

YOUNG ADULT COLORECTAL CANCER PATIENT ADVISORY COUNCIL

Since CCRAN is a patient focused organization, it behooves us to take direction and counsel from patients, whose experiences across the continuum of colorectal cancer care can serve as a source of inspiration and guidance for the development of our National Patient Programs.
Specifically, when it comes to the development of our Patient Programs to support the Young Adult Colorectal Cancer Population, CCRAN is inspired by the journeys of both early and late stage patients who can provide meaningful and thoughtful input into the creation of CCRAN’s National Patient Programs.  Their unique set of circumstances can provide evocative and compelling experiences to help others diagnosed with Early Age Onset Colorectal Cancer.
These are the courageous and persevering young adults counselling CCRAN on the development of Early Age Onset Colorectal Cancer Programs:
